Join Peoria NEXT, the Illinois Coalition, and the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity to find out more about this technology and what the economic implications of its success could be for Central Illinois.
Explore the local relevance of recent discussions about the promise of hydrogen power - the vision of a move toward a "hydrogen economy." Among the expanding list of applications are fuel cells, which turn pure hydrogen into electricity that can provide propulsion power for your automobile or generate heat and electricity for your home or business.
Applications for this technology are being developed right now and RIGHT HERE. Two Peoria-area companies, Caterpillar Inc. and Aventine Renewable Energy, have an interest in varied applications of this emerging technology.
The Illinois Coalition and DCEO are writing a roadmap to Illinois' future in this industry to be presented to State, Federal, and Municipal leaders in 2004. Your presence at this event will ensure that the leadership of Central Illinois has a voice in the final roadmap.
Space is limited. Please RSVP to Alejandra Silva at silva@ilcoalition.org..
